Question 1

How quickly can I get set up?

Accepted Answer

Getting started is a simple signup flow. Add your business details, services, team, and availability, then import your existing data if you need to. Depending on your team size, setup can take about 10 minutes to a couple of days.

Question 2

Does it work with my existing phone number?

Accepted Answer

No. nbound gives you a dedicated phone number that you can use as your business line. Add it to your website, Google Business Profile, or wherever customers find you. You can also ask your phone company to route calls from your current number to this number. That is a simple change.

Question 3

Is there a setup fee?

Accepted Answer

There is no setup fee or onboarding fee. You pay for the plan you choose, with no hidden charges.

Question 4

What trades do you support?

Accepted Answer

Browse our service areas page to see every trade we support, organized by city and state. We cover HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, general contracting, appliance repair, landscaping and lawn care, pest control, painting, garage door, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, and more. If your trade isn't listed, reach out — we're adding new ones regularly.

Question 5

What is nbound?

Accepted Answer

nbound replaces multiple front-office tools with one platform built for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other field-service businesses. It answers and books calls 24/7, manages scheduling and dispatch, tracks customer and inventory data, handles invoicing and payments, and lets you create custom digital forms.

Question 6

What happens when a customer calls?

Accepted Answer

nbound picks up in under 3 rings, greets the customer using your business name, and asks how it can help. It identifies the service needed, the urgency, and the customer's location. If it's an emergency it routes it to priority. If it's a standard job it finds the next open slot and locks in the appointment. The customer gets a confirmation and you get a dispatch alert — all before you even know the phone rang.

Question 7

Does the AI sound robotic?

Accepted Answer

No. nbound uses human-grade voice synthesis — natural cadence, natural phrasing. Most customers have no idea they're talking to an AI. If a caller asks directly, nbound is transparent about it.

Question 8

Does it work after hours and on weekends?

Accepted Answer

Yes, that's the whole point. nbound runs 24/7 — nights, weekends, holidays. Most missed calls happen outside of business hours when you're on a job or off the clock. nbound catches every one of them.

Question 9

What if multiple customers call at the same time?

Accepted Answer

nbound handles unlimited simultaneous calls. There's no queue, no busy signal, no voicemail. Every caller gets answered immediately regardless of how many calls are coming in at once — useful during heat waves, storm season, or any surge period.

Question 10

How much does nbound cost?

Accepted Answer

Choose the plan that fits your team. Foundation is for one location, Scale is for growing teams, and Enterprise is for larger operations. Every plan includes nbound's core tools. Learn more.

Question 11

Can I control how calls are handled?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You set your business hours, service area, available appointment slots, and which services you offer. nbound uses that configuration to handle every call the way you would. You can update it at any time from your dashboard.

Question 12

Will nbound replace my staff?

Accepted Answer

No. nbound handles inbound calls and booking so your team isn't tied up on the phone. It's additive — it catches everything that would otherwise go to voicemail, and frees up your people to focus on the actual work.

Question 13

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. nbound uses industry-standard encryption and security practices. Call data, customer information, and business data are all protected. We don't sell your data or your customers' data.

Question 14

What kind of support do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Email support at support@nbound.io, same business day response. We also help with onboarding to make sure your number and configuration are set up correctly from day one.
